Contest! Full Tuition Scholarship at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition

CONGRATULATIONS to Amanda Wynkoop from Wingate, North Carolina! She’s the winner of the full ride to IIN. Her mission to end the obesity epidemic in the South took the cake. Thank you to everyone who applied! All of your visions are inspiring. Keep up the great work. From Amanda’s winning essay: “These southern food traditions coupled with high poverty rates contribute to the fact that 9 of the 10 fattest states in the US are in the South. I have seen, first-hand, the effects of poor diet and obesity in almost every adult member of my family and community and this breaks my heart.”

Being a health coach is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Every hour I spend with clients is satisfying. It’s actually quite amazing to get paid for something I enjoy so much. Can you imagine being able to make a difference in the health and happiness of others in such a direct manner?  Or receiving an email from a client who’s delighted to report they feel better than ever and have lost 20 pounds to boot? Perhaps you can even picture the smile on your client’s face as she reflects on her accomplishments over the course of your work together.

Well, it’s possible! Yes, you can be a health coach, too. It’s a rapidly growing field with room for many more practitioners. Just think of all the people in the world who have questions about their health and are frustrated that they aren’t getting answers from the the standard model of health care. You could be the ONE who is the turning point in their experience of well-being. Watch people really start to THRIVE with the support of your expertise.

I am pleased to be able to offer a full tuition scholarship ($5,000 value!!) to enroll in the year-long distance learning program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. To enter the context, submit a 500 word essay to the Contact page of my site outlining the difference you want to make in the world through your work as a health coach and demonstrating your financial need by December 4th at 12 midnight Pacific Time. I will announce the winner on December 5th. You will be responsible for the $790 materials fee (includes at iPad 2).

Please share with your friends!

Good luck. To your future as a health coach and the positive impact you will make in the lives of real people.

Eat well. Move well. Feel Alive.
